While there are some children who enjoy taking their daily bath, others can act resistant when it comes time to get in the water. If your child puts up a fuss at bath time, one strategy to consider is looking for ways to make bathing more fun. There are a number of options that you can think about, but one solution is to buy a few bath toys that your child will enjoy using. A visit to your local toy store will give you all sorts of options, allowing you to buy a few things that are in alignment with your child's interests. Here are some bath toys that you may wish to buy for your child.
Fishing Set
One fun idea to consider is a small fishing rod and a number of plastic fish that your child can catch while in the bathtub. There are different sets that fit this description, but many have a loop on each of the small fish and a hook on the "lure" of the fishing rod. Your child will have to work on their hand-eye coordination by hooking each fish and then using the reel to reel the fish in. Some fishing sets come with nets or buckets that your child can fill with the fish they've caught.
Bath Crayons
If your child has an artistic side, a set of bath crayons will significantly improve the fun of bath time. These sets consist of a number of crayons in bright colors that your child can use to doodle on the sides of the tub and the walls around the bathtub. At the end of bath time, you can easily use a wet cloth to remove the art — giving the child a blank canvas for the next time they're in the bath. Bath crayons can also be educational, as your child can work on writing their name, writing numbers, and more.
Basketball Set
There are all sorts of sports-related toys that are designed for use in the bath. One option is a small basketball set, consisting of a net and one or more balls. You can help your child by affixing the net to the wall around the tub with the provided suction cups. Your child can then practice throwing the balls into the net. If your child has shown an interest in sports, this can be a fun toy to enjoy during bath time. Like the fishing set, it can also help your child to improve their hand-eye coordination.
