Are you already planning Father's Day for your husband? If so you are probably an individual who likes to be organized and to plan events way before they happen. In this case, you more than likely already have your own mother's Mother's Day already planned and you have moved on. Good for you. That means that you won't be facing things like crowded stores and full parking lots. If you have decided that you want to plan a patriotic theme for Father's Day,from planning a special event to buying silver coins, here are some ideas that might help you plan a day that will be appreciated and remembered by your sweetheart.
A Special Event - Is your husband in the military? Is he a veteran? Perhaps he is neither, but he simply loves the good old United States of America. Maybe he comes from a long line of patriots or maybe he has moved to the United States after living in a place that didn't offer him the freedoms he now enjoys. Whatever the case, knowing that he is a patriotic individual more than likely means he'll truly appreciate the time and effort you spend in planning a day with a patriotic theme. Consider having an outdoor barbecue where your children, and maybe even your grandchildren, help you to present a special program that includes them singing songs like Yankee Doodle Dandy and God Bless America. Of course, you'll probably want to serve something like hot dogs and hamburgers, along with apple pie. Aren't those true American foods?
A Special Gift - Since you are planning a patriotic day for your husband, think of purchasing a patriotic gift. For example, think of giving him a brand new American flag to fly in the front of your house. Consider buying a coffee table book that includes photographs of all fifty states. Another idea is to buy silver coins. Does your husband already have a silver coin collection? If so, consider adding to his collection by giving him a silver coin, such as from American Precious Metals Inc, that includes a picture of his favorite founding father as part of the design. Another idea is to start, or add to, a collection of silver coins that depict each of the fifty states. If you are starting the collection, consider giving your husband a silver coin from the state in which he was born. Think about mounting a silver coin in a picture frame, too.
